Rashid Dar is a graduate student at Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), where he focuses on Islam, geopolitics, Muslim religious networks, and conflict mediation. He has previously been published in 'All-American: 45 American Men on Being Muslim' (2012). Prior to Columbia, Rashid studied Islam traditionally at a seminary near Chicago, and worked for a few non-profits in various capacities. He lives in Jersey City with his wife.
