Second Lieutenant Luke J. Schumacher is an intelligence officer in the U.S. Army. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, he recently earned an MPhil in political thought and intellectual history at the University of Cambridge. Joshua Shapiro, a graduate of American University, is a strategic risk consultant at an advisory firm in the Washington, DC area. Their joint work has appeared in the Yale Review of International Studies.
